Surrender a Cat
I want to surrender my cat/s.
We understand that sometimes the unexpected happens and circumstances change meaning people can no longer look after their cat/s. Taking action by contacting an animal rehoming charity is a responsible decision to make. We will always be impartial and talk through the situation with you to find out how best we can help. In return, we ask that you are honest and open with your pet's information. In order to take your cat/s into rescue and pair them with a suitable fosterer we need to know as much detail as possible.
If you would like to surrender your cat, please fill out the form below, we will then be in touch as soon as we have space or, in the case that we are particularly busy and your situation is not urgent, we will advise you of the waiting time and add you to our non-urgent waiting list.
Once you sign your cat/s over to Wisteria Cat Rescue, we take over the legal ownership of the animal. When the animal is then rehomed, the new owners take over legal ownership of the animal. Once the animal has been adopted, you cannot change your mind and take your pet back. It’s important to understand that you have now legally signed over your pet to Wisteria Cat Rescue, therefore relinquishing all rights of ownership to them. As a rule, we do not allow animals to be reclaimed once they have been brought into us for rehoming. We would, therefore, encourage you to ensure that you have carefully thought through your decision prior to contacting us.
